Itinerary
Depart from Nairobi to one of Africa's most famous national parks, Amboseli National Park.
You will check in at Ol Tukai Lodge, have a sumptuous lunch served, and then go on a fun-filled game drive in the park. Your journey to experience the stunning landscapes and rich wildlife of magical Kenya will begin right here! This will be an excellent opportunity to view large herds of red elephants and the magnificent scenery of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa.
Spending time in Amboseli Park, you will quickly appreciate the special qualities of the African elephant. Intelligent and emotional creatures will also take stock of you through sight, sound, and scent. Come in peace, and the elephants of Amboseli will send a peaceful vibe back your way, completing the circle of gratitude. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.
Early sunrise breakfast will be served amidst herds of elephants grazing against the majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Afterward, you will embark on a full-day game drive within the vast and scenic Amboseli National Park. The great snow-capped mountain stands like a sentinel over the park's southern border, creating postcard-like vistas. These 'giants' and the continent's highest peak are a photographer's treat, complementing each other in their majesty. It is practically impossible to take a bad photo at Amboseli, and you will enjoy capturing elephant families as they move to and from their nearby watering holes. This will be a fascinating experience, as you will get to view Africa's Big Five. Other wildlife you can encounter include cheetahs, giraffes, and zebras. A great spot for photo shoots lies at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, allowing an unbeatable view as the sun sets. This will definitely make your day!
After breakfast, you will drive to Tsavo West National Park via the Shetani Lava, arriving in time for lunch at the Lodge. In the afternoon, you will go game viewing to see lions, cheetahs, rhinos, and leopards. Tsavo West contains a diversity of habitats and wildlife and features a mountainous, scenic landscape. It has a more varied topography and a more diverse array of habitats than Amboseli.
Tsavo West houses a rhino sanctuary and a glass house at Mzima Springs, which allows you to see animals roaming underneath you in the water. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.
You will have breakfast and then drive to Tsavo East via Mzima Springs for a chance to see hippos and crocodiles. You will arrive in time for lunch at the Ashnil Aruba Lodge. Later, you will go on an afternoon game drive in the biggest national park in Kenya in search of the Big Five.
Tsavo East is an excellent place for photographers with its fabulous light and unbelievable views. There are many elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, and lions. Elephants glow red after dusk, blowing the vivid red dust through their trunks and over their bodies. Your dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.
An early game drive is the best opportunity to see nocturnal big cats on the hunt. You will also see elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and giraffes. The lions in Tsavo gained a reputation for being “man-eaters” during the construction of the Mombasa-Uganda railway. You will have breakfast and then driven back to the airport for your flight or hotel of choice.
